Welcome to the dark side!

Throughout this year the team here at Dark Galaxies have been busy planning and developing the latest addition to the Metaverse and after a successful pack sale for our early supporters in September we are now preparing the game for closed alpha release which will be available to members of the community who hold one of our Alpha tokens in their wallet. The Alpha tokens are only available as NTT’s (non transferable token) and can be obtained by opening a Celestial pack.

Celestial Pack.

Celestial packs are now only available on the secondary markets and will provide you with everything you need to start playing. Each pack contains the following: 1 x 3D card, 1 x Alpha token, 1 x Planet token, 1 x book token and 1 x Supernova pack which contains 30 playing cards of different rarities.

The first thing to do after logging in is to click on the “Decks” tab so that you can start building your decks from the NFT’s you have in your wallet.

Once you click the decks tab you will be directed to the deck builder screen where you will click the + icon on the left hand side to create a new deck and then filter through your cards and select the one’s you would like to add to your deck, you can filter your cards by rarity and faction. Once you have built your deck return to the main menu and click the play tab where you will be directed to the game setup screen.

During the initial alpha release you will be limited to single player mode against the A.I and due to the limited functionality the A.I will not be able to build it’s own decks and instead will use the same deck as the player so it is recommended to build at least two different decks in the deck builder and manually assign the A.I with one of your other decks.

When you have assigned decks to yourself and the A.I you can click the single player tab and you will be directed to the game screen and the game will start, the player and the A.I will be randomly dealt five cards from your deck and the first move is allocated to the player.

The goal of the game is to either reduce your opponents hit points to zero or destroy all the cards in your opponents hand. When you have cards on the table you can use your cards to attack your opponent directly to reduce their hit points or attack the cards they have on the table.

You will notice that in the top left hand of each card is a number, this is the Mana cost for each card and this determines how long you need to wait before you can play that card to the table. For example, if a card has a Mana cost of 5 the player would need to wait 5 turns before they can play that card. When the Mana cost for a card has been spent the card in your hand will be highlighted indicating that it can be played to the table.

However, there is also the option to sacrifice a card to the player’s “Soul Extract” located on the right hand side of the game screen. When sending a card to the Soul Extract the Mana points from that card will be spent on the other cards in the player’s hand and the player will receive extra health equal to the amount of hit points on the card that was sent to the soul Extract. This will reduce the amount of turns needed before the player can send their other cards to the table.

As mentioned earlier, the initial alpha release will have limited functionality until any bugs are fixed and then further features will be added as we progress through the alpha stage.

The team at Dark Galaxies are very grateful for all the support received from the community in the last few months and we thank you all for your patience whilst we have been busy behind the scenes. Although it has been a quiet year of planning and building, the community may find themselves overwhelmed with what is coming in the new year especially for those who have held their planet tokens.

More details and the exact date for the alpha will be released over the next few days.
